The BC PNP Skilled Worker Stream is one of the BC PNP Skills Immigration pathway’s streams. As the name suggests, the stream is designed for workers in professional, technical, trade, management, or other occupations, as long as they are experienced. These candidates must have the intention to get settled in British Columbia to receive a nomination.
The BC PNP Skilled Worker stream also offers the EEBC option to prospective immigrants with an Express Entry profile.
The eligibility criteria and how to apply for a nomination through this stream are discussed below. We will discuss how candidates can apply for permanent residency through the EEBC option as well. Let’s begin with the eligibility requirements of the BC PNP Skilled Worker stream.

Application Process of BC PNP Skilled Worker Stream
Follow the steps provided below to apply for Canada PR through the BC PNP Skilled Worker Stream.
Step 1: Create a profile on the BCPNP Online portal and submit a registration.
A registration is a points-based Expression of Interest (EOI). Using the information from the registrations, applicants are ranked and invited to apply for a nomination. You must provide correct information during registration as it cannot be changed later on.
Once completely filled out, the applicant will submit the registration to receive a registration score and enter the registration pool of other eligible applicants. After submission, you will also receive an email including your BC PNP registration number.
Step 2: Registration Validity
A registration remains valid for the next 12 months and within this time duration, you have to receive an invite, or else you will need to create and submit another registration.
Keep in mind that a registration is only valid for the stream you are applying for. This means, that if you are in the registration pool and you haven’t been issued an invite and want to apply for a different stream, you must withdraw the existing registration to apply for a new one.
Step 3: Receive an ITA
Once you are in the registration pool, and receive an invite when the BC PNP conducts a draw, you have to submit a completed application within 30 calendar days. Submitting this application will cost you a fee of CAN $1,475.
Step 4: Application Approval
If your application is approved, you will receive a Confirmation of Nomination.
Step 5: Apply for Residency
Once you receive the Confirmation of Nomination, apply for Canadian permanent residency to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
