On 30 July 2024, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted its newest PNP draw. The latest round sent 57 Notification of Interest (NOI) letters to candidates in the Express Entry pool. The candidates who received an NOI letter might be eligible to apply for Alberta Express Entry stream.
The minimum score threshold for this draw was 300 points, which is also the base score requirement to be eligible for this stream.
Alberta has been continuously conducting its PNP draws for the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway for the past 6 months. Since 6th February 2024, all 12 Alberta PNP draws have been held to invite candidates to apply to the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway.
Besides this pathway, there are 3 other pathways under the Alberta Express Entry stream:
- Accelerated Tech Pathway
- Family Connection and Primary Occupation
- Priority Sectors (Agriculture, Construction, Tourism, And Hospitality)

Since Alberta has been continuously issuing notification of interest letters to individuals to apply to the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, it may be safe to say that the province is in need of healthcare professionals, now more than ever.
This is a good opportunity for individuals in the health occupation as the chances to receive an NOI while being in the Express Entry pool are better. If you meet the eligibility criteria, the AAIP might issue you an NOI. You will receive the letter in your Express Entry profile and can then email the stream, letting them know that you are interested.
AAIP might issue an ITA, using which you must submit a completed application form to the AAIP, pay the fee and wait for the application approval.
If the application is approved, you will become a provincial nominee.
