The CRS cut-off dipped to its lowest in December in the latest Express Entry draw #278. The round of invitations were category-based selections exclusively for agriculture and agri-food occupations. Only 400 applicants were invited to apply for Canada PR through the Express Entry pathway.

The Express Entry profiles who have received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the latest Express Entry draw #278 must:
- Have a valid and active Express Entry profile in the federal pool
- Must be eligible for either the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), or Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
- The CRS score by the Comprehensive Ranking System must be equal to or greater than 386 points.
- Must have 6 months’ continuous work experience in the last 3 years.
- The work experience must be in one of the three eligible agricultural NOC codes tabulated below.

Second category-based selection for Agriculture and Agri-food Occupations
The latest Express Entry draw #278 was the second draw exclusively for agriculture and agri-food professionals. Previously, the 267th draw had invited eligible applicants from this category. While it issued 600 ITAs, the CRS score cut-off was as low as 354 points. Although the latest draw has seen a relative increase in the cut-off with respect to the agriculture and agri-food category, it remains the lowest in December.
