Expression of Interest (EOI) for International Healthcare Workers
Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is not equivalent to applying to the PNP program. Instead, it is a form of pre-application about your interest to settle and work in Saskatchewan as a permanent resident. The SINP International Skilled Worker pathway requires Expression of Interest(EOI) for the following streams:
- Saskatchewan Express Entry category
- SINP Occupation in-demand
- International Healthcare worker category
The EOIs submitted for the SINP Express Entry and Occupation in-Demand pathways are issued ITAs in SINP draws. After getting an ITA, the applicant must submit a complete application to the SINP within 60 days. Upon approval, you will become a provincial nominee through the SINP. You will then have 6 months to apply to IRCC for Canada PR.
In the case of the International Healthcare Worker pool, there is no draw. Instead, you might be contacted with job information and details about employment opportunities in your intended occupation.
If you are found eligible and qualified, you will receive an employment offer from a Saskatchewan employer. After getting a job offer, you will become eligible for the SINP ISW Employment Offer pathway and can apply to SINP through it. On the other hand, if your job offer belongs to any one of the low-skilled, high-demand occupations, you will become eligible to apply through the SINP Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot.

After getting an employment offer, you will either be eligible to apply to the SINP Employment Offer category or the Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot. For example, if the work experience is in NOC code 33102, you will be able to apply for provincial nomination through the SINP HFS category. However, you must meet all the eligibility criteria of the SINP category you are applying to.
The healthcare sector generates 12.6% employment in the province of Saskatchewan and employs over 70000 people. Nevertheless, in recent times, the healthcare system in the Canadian province has and continues to suffer critical labor shortages.
Recruitment of International Healthcare workers through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program is a significant provincial strategy to tackle this severe shortage. The EOI pool of SINP International healthcare workers assists the recruiters in successfully employing qualified and skilled healthcare workers and filling crucial vacancies in the healthcare sector.
