The BC PNP International Graduate Stream is one of the Skills Immigration streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. As the name suggests, this stream is for international students who have recently graduated from a British Columbia eligible list of post-secondary institutions. They must have completed a degree or diploma to gain permanent residence and stay in B.C. 

To be eligible, the applicant must register on the BCPNP Online within 3 years of graduating from a public BC post-secondary institution. Additionally, the date on your credential must be within 12 months of completing your studies. 

The BC PNP International Graduate stream lets applicants choose the EEBC option to apply for nomination as well. After nomination, apply for permanent residency.

BC PNP International Graduate Stream – Eligibility Requirements 

To qualify for a nomination through the BC PNP International Graduate stream, meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant must have completed their post-secondary education within the last 3 years
  • They must have completed their studies in Canada
  • The applicant needs to meet the minimum language requirements
  • The study program must have lasted at least 8 months of full-time equivalent coursework
  • They must have received a job offer in NOC TEER category 1, 2, or 3
  • The employer also have to meet some requirements
  • In case the applicant is choosing the EEBC option, they have to meet additional requirements
  • Must demonstrate intentions to live in British Columbia
  • They have to economically benefit the province
  • They must be qualified for the job offered 

In case the provincial program requires the applicant to meet additional requirements, they must do so.

BC PNP International Graduate Stream Nomination Process

Follow the below provided steps to apply for a nomination through the BC PNP International Graduate Stream:

  1. The applicant has to register on the BCPNP Online portal by creating a profile. They need to provide information about their language skills, education, work experience, age etc, to create a profile. 
  2. Once the registration is completed, it cannot be changed or updated.
  3. After submitting the registration, it will be placed in an EOI pool with the other eligible profiles. In this pool, it remains valid for 12 months, during which you have to receive an invite so you can get on to nomination filing. 
  4. In case you didn’t receive an invitation to apply in the meantime, and the validity of your registration expires, you will have to create a new one.
  5. When you are in the pool, receive an invitation to apply and within 30 days of receiving an ITA, apply for a provincial nomination.
  6. Within this time limit, make sure to submit a completed application only. 
  7. If BC PNP approves your application, apply for permanent residency to IRCC! 
  8. After the approval of your application, and becoming a Canada PR, arrive in British Columbia and begin establishing your life here.
