IRCC Announces the 309th Express Entry Draw for the CEC!

The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the latest 309th Express Entry draw on August 14, 2024. The 309th round of invitations was a program-specific draw for the Canadian Experience Class. With an ITA, applicants can immigrate to Canada by applying for a PR visa through the Express Entry pathway

Who got the Invitation to Apply (ITAs) in the 309th Express Entry Draw?

People who received an ITA in the 309th Express Entry draw:

• Were eligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program
• Had a valid and active Express Entry profile in the pool
• Scored at least 509 points or more in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
• Ranked among the top 3200 profiles in the pool.

Previous CEC draws in 2024

IRCC has previously invited international workers with Canadian work experience. The table below includes the 309th Express Entry draw along with all the previous draws exclusively for the CEC pathway.

As the table shows, the CRS score cut-off remains constant, dropping just one point from 510 to 509 CRS points. On the other hand, the ITAs issued have dropped significantly by 2800 invitations. Till now, IRCC has invited 17,500 applicants eligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
