Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the latest Express Entry draw on 13th September 2024 and issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA). These ITAs were issued to candidates who scored at least NCLC 7 in French language proficiency. Further, the CRS cut-off of the latest Express Entry draw #314 was 446 points.

Since it was a category-based draw, naturally the CRS requirement was lower than that of a PNP or CEC-specific draw. However, usually, the CRS requirement of category-based draws range from 330-400 points. So, why did IRCC require candidates to score higher CRS points this time?
It’s because candidates with French-language proficiency tend to score higher. Still, this is the highest CRS requiring Express Entry draw held for French proficient candidates in this year. And, IRCC has conducted 8 draws so far. Take a look at them below:
