IRCC announced the latest Express Entry draw #295 exclusively for Francophones. The details about the category-based draw are listed below:

The latest Express Entry draw #295 was the fourth category-based selection exclusively for francophones. To get an ITA in this round of invitations:

• Have an active Express Entry profile in the pool
• Be eligible for either the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, or Federal Skilled Trades Program. Provincial Nominees with an active Express Entry profile are also eligible
• Score at least NCLC 7 in TEF or TCF. The language test result should not be older than two years.
• Rank in the top 1400 applicants in the Express Entry pool
• Score at least 410 points in the CRS points calculator.

Steps after an ITA in Express Entry Draw

Apply for Canada PR through Express Entry within 60 days of getting an ITA in the latest Express Entry draw #295. During this phase, you will need to upload all documents to support the information in your Express Entry profile. Any discrepancies will lead to immediate application rejection.

Pay the non-refundable application fee of $1365 and submit the completed application. IRCC will request you for a Police Clearance Certificate and Medical Exam during application processing. Once the application is approved, you will receive a COPR or Confirmation of Permanent Residence. 

Previous Draws for French Language Proficiency in 2024

The category draws for Francophones have been announced to enable IRCC to increase French-speaking permanent residents outside Quebec. According to the latest immigration levels plan, Canada aims to increase the francophone population by 6% in 2024. With the latest Express Entry #295, there have been four category-based draws for French language proficiency till now.
