British Columbia and Ontario Issue Invitations in Latest PNP Draws

Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Ontario have conducted the latest PNP draws of the week, both on 9th July 2024. All together, the provinces invited over 1,732 candidates to apply for provincial nomination.

British Columbia Draw – 9 July 2024

Latest BC PNP draw invited over 66 candidates to apply to the following streams:

  • Skilled Worker (EEBC option)
  • International Graduates (EEBC option)
  • Entry Level and Semi-Skilled

BC PNP held five different rounds of draws, first was general, while the others were targeted. The number of invitations, minimum score and streams for which they are invited are all provided below. 

  • 35 candidates were invited under the general draw, and they were invited to apply for all three streams mentioned above. The minimum score cut-off remained the same for the Skilled Worker and International Graduates (both include EEBC option), which was 134. As for the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled, the lowest scoring candidate had at least 110 score. 
  • The next round was a targeted one, for healthcare workers. 12 applicants were invited, if they had at least 104 points. 
  • 10 applicants were invited for the childcare category, and they required at least 94 points. 
  • For the construction category, 9 applicants were selected, if they scored 95 points or above. 
  • Less than 5 applicants were invited for the veterinary care category. The minimum score requirement was 80 points. 
  • The invites sent through the targeted draws were for the Skilled Worker and International Graduates (both include EEBC option).  

The next BC PNP draw should be on 16 July 2024. 

OINP Draw – 9 July 2024

Ontario also conducted a draw on 9th July, inviting 1,666 applicants to apply for Masters and PhD graduate streams. Both the draws were general and not targeted for any specific category. 

1,556 applicants were invited to apply for the OINP Masters Stream. Minimum score considered for them was 54 and above. 

As for the OINP PhD stream, 110 applicants received invitations to apply. These applicants had at least 50 EOI scores to be considered in this draw.
