Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced new Caregivers pilot programs that are set to replace the existing HCCPP and HSWP. The Home Child Care Provider Pilot (HCCPP) and the Home Support Worker Pilot (HSWP) will close down as of 17 June 2024.
The new pilot programs are specifically designed to give Canadian permanent residency to home care workers when they arrive in Canada. Moreover, under the new pilot programs, home care workers will get to work for organizations that offer temporary/part-time care for persons recovering from an injury or if they are semi-independent.
