More Jobs for Skilled Workers- Canada Wants More Homes Built!

According to the newly made announcement by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’ Minister, the new Express Entry draws may only invite certain skilled workers. This is because Canada is planning on building more homes and this is happy news as there will be more jobs for skilled workers!

This is because of the new category based draws that is said to start this summer. It may even happen the next time these draws come out. 

Under the targeted Express Entry draws, Minister Fraser announced a complete list of occupations that made the list. Below, we have listed down all the NOC codes. 

Also, after a candidate receives an invitation under these draws, they can then apply for a Canadian work visa and start their journey of working in Canada!

What’s the Eligibility Criteria?

The most basic requirement to be eligible for these draws is that a candidate must have at least 6 months of continuous work experience out of the last 3 years. The work experience could be either in Canada or any other country. The bottom line is to have work experience. 

Apart from having 6 months of continuous work experience, you must also have at least 1 whole year of work experience in any occupation of the TEER 1, 2, 3, or 4. The total number of targeted occupations in the Express Entry draw is 82. And, so, if you have work experience in any of the targeted occupations, you could be eligible to receive an invitation.
