British Columbia is back again with its weekly draw. The latest BC PNP draw was held on 14 June 2022, for the applicants who have applied under skilled immigration. This was a general draw and tech occupations were also included in this draw. A total of 138 Invitations to Apply were issued in this draw.
The minimum required cutoff for this draw was as follows:
- For Skilled workers, the minimum score required was 109
- For Skilled workers (including the EEBC option), the minimum score required was 123
- For International Graduates, the minimum score required was 96
- For International Graduates (including the EEBC option), the minimum score required was 106
- For Entry-level semi-skilled workers, the minimum score required was 76
Earlier this month, British Columbia released its tech, healthcare, and childcare draw on 7 June 2022, in which 125 Invitations to Apply were issued.
The 138 British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Invitation to Apply also issues invitations to apply for Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories for the candidates who want a Canadian permanent residence.
If the candidate has a valid profile in the Express Entry pool, he can be selected through the Express Entry BC Category. Express Entry is the main pathway and it is also called the golden pathway to Canada. It is the best program for the candidates who want to obtain Canadian permanent residence as skilled immigrants.
If a candidate gets nominated through the Express Entry BC provincial nominee program, he will be granted an extra 600 points in his existing CRS score. This makes the candidate score high and increases his chance of getting a Canadian Permanent Resident.
For the skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupation demand is high, the Skills Immigration Category is designed. A candidate must register under the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) in order to get ranked and score on factors like employment offer, location, education, language, and wages.
