Ircc Launches A New Immigration Pathway For Students And Workers
Canada is designing a new immigration pathway for temporary foreign workers and international students.
According to Immigration Minister Sean Fraser, the new program will be a permanent pathway to Canada for temporary residents. This program will be similar but not identical to the Temporary Residence to Permanent Residence Program (TR 2 PR)
Sean Fraser has been assigned the task of broadening the pathway programs for International Students and Temporary Foreign Workers.
A Motion passed in the Canadian House of Commons stated that Fraser has been allotted a time period of 120 days to develop and launch a strategy to reach these outcomes.
Alterations In Express Entry
- This July, Canada welcomes candidates under the Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSWP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) to apply for permanent residence.
- Bill C-19 is currently making its way through the Senate to become a law. This law authorizes IRCC to invite Express Entry candidates into the pool based on an economic objective such as profession, French language proficiency, or educational credentials.
- IRCC will be designed to participate in a public consultation process to help them choose which groups of Express Entry candidates will be invited to these types of draws.
- IRCC will be required to submit an annual report to the Canadian Government describing the financial objective pursued in each case.
Express Entry
Express Entry is a system that helps candidates apply for immigration online. It enables applicants to create a profile and be considered skilled immigrants. The highest-ranking candidates are invited to apply for permanent residency through various programs.
