545 Candidates invited to apply for Permanent Residence on 11th May 2022.
All the candidates received their nominations from the Provincial Nominee Program.
The Lowest CRS score to be reported is 753.
Applicants who received their Provincial Nominee Program gained 600 CRS Scores after their nomination.
Candidates with the lowest CRS scores will receive ITA (invitation to apply) if they had applied for express entry before December 15th 2021
Previously in the invitation round, the IRCC had invited 829 applicants through the PNP (Provincial Nominee Program). The lowest CRS score being 772.
Sean Fraser’s Media Brief
Canada’s Immigration Minister Sean Fraser, announced on 22nd April, 2022 that invitations for Foreign Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Program through Express Entry will resume by early July.
The EE invitation which earlier took 20.4 months on average and was expected to rise anywhere till 36 months will be escalated to process within a 6-month service standard.
The IRCC were forced to put a temporary halt on the EE draws for Foreign Skilled Worker Program and Canadian Experience Class due to Covic-19 curbs. The draws were reportedly paused from December 2020 and September 2021.
This short-term policy change had a severe impact on the Canadian Labour Market. When the country had a million-job vacancies and historically low-unemployment rates, the flow of Foreign Skilled Workers fell onto the ground.
Canada’s Recovering Economy
After the pandemic’s strike, the IRCC confirmed the Express Entry backlog of 2021. More than 50% of the applications have been accepted. 100,000 applications from 2021 have been brought down to 48,000 as of March 2022.
By 2024, IRCC aims to welcome 110,000 immigrants every year through EE.
Permanent Residency
Government officials of the IRCC confirmed that PR decisions are being expedited with 78000 approved applications in January-March 2021 and 156000 approved applications in January-March 2022.
