Canada is one of the prominent countries for immigration. Nearly 300,000 people immigrate to Canada every year. People want to immigrate for several reasons like education, career, business, or to just upgrade their lifestyle. While Canada has become a popular immigration destination, it is not as easy to actually immigrate there. Settling in Canada requires you to undergo a rigorous and often exhausting immigration procedure.
While every Canada immigration program takes its legitimate time, there are some programs to speed up the process. This blog will further explain some of the legal and quick methods for immigration, so please keep reading.
Canada immigration ways
We all understand that the immigration process takes its time that often times cannot be expedited. However, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is constantly working to make Canada immigration as simple and straightforward as possible.
The programs that are faster ways to immigrate are:
Express Entry: It is the fastest way for immigration to Canada, and hence is the most popular program. Express Entry was initiated in early 2015. This program has streamlined and accelerated the Canadian immigration process. If eligible, you can easily make an Express Entry profile on the IRCC website where you would have to provide crucial information. On the successful completion of the Express Entry profile, you will be assigned a CRS score. You will be issued an ITA or Invitation to apply in the Express Entry draw only if your Comprehensive Ranking System score is higher than the cut-off. Express Entry draws are held every two weeks. Once invited, you can apply for Canada PR within 60 days. The Express Entry takes only 6 months to process your Canada PR.
Provincial Nominee Program: this program is one of the most popular immigration processes. It is mainly for those who want to settle in a particular Canadian province. To contribute to the economy of a particular province or territory, they must have the necessary training, education, and work experience.
Family Sponsorship: it is also one of the easiest and fastest ways of immigration. This process is only possible if a family member holds legal citizenship in Canada. Your connections with a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident should be by blood or by law to make it a valid sponsorship. This process used to take 26 months but now it is reduced to 12 months because more than 80% of applicants were from this program.
While the Provincial nominee program and Family Sponsorship are helpful and faster ways of immigration, the currently fastest and most efficient immigration procedure is Express Entry. The Express Entry immigration program offers three pathways:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP): for skilled immigrants with foreign work experience.
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP): for immigrants skilled in a trade that usually requires certification or license.
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC): for skilled immigrants who have Canadian work experience.
