Canada launches the most awaited Indo pacific strategy on 30th November to deepen its roots and enhance the connections. Newcomers are a major source of Canada to build its economy Indo Pacific will continue to play an important role in Canada’s immigration strategy. The investment of $74.6 million over 5 years, and $15.7 million ongoing investment to boost the application process capacity both on domestic level and Indo pacific level which includes New Delhi, Chandigarh, Islamabad and Manila. These new resources have a huge ongoing effort to process the giant volume of Visa applications from all the regions. This strategy not only increases the visa volume it also improves the Processing time of the application and supports the people to people ties. This Indo pacific strategy attracts more people to Canada to visit, study, work or immigrate permanently with faster visa and immigration process.
The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship said “The Indo-Pacific region is vital for Canada’s immigration and will continue to be in the future. Today’s announcement brings significant new funding to help boost Canada’s visa application processing capacity at home and abroad. As we look to record growth in admissions in the years ahead, this funding will help promote greater diversity among those looking to visit, study, work or live in Canada.”
