What After Receiving an Invitation?

Every time these draws occur, they send out invitations to hundreds of candidates. Who are these people receiving invitations directly from the provincial government of British Columbia you ask?

Well, these people want to work in Canada and so they submitted an application via Express Entry. In the application, they filled in information needed. Once they became eligible to submit the application, they were placed in a pool with hundreds of other eligible candidates.

Then, when the time came, the provincial government held draws and invited a certain number of candidates. British Columbia selects these eligible candidates from the Express Entry pool who could be beneficial for the local economy and then sends them an ITA.

1st Step

Once a candidate receives an Invitation to Apply (ITA), their CRS score increases by 600 points, further increasing their chances of receiving an ITA when the next Express Entry occurs.

2nd Step

After receiving an ITA, it is the candidate’s responsibility to submit a completed application for Canadian permanent residency. Remember, there’s a time period to apply for PR before the ITA expires.

3rd Step

The PR application should not take more than 6 months to get processed since it was submitted via Express Entry.
