The overall plan is to invite around 1.5 million immigrants by 2025. And the reason behind this is to facilitate the workforce shortage that Canada has been facing post pandemic.

For 2023, Canada will be inviting about 465,000 immigrants. In 2024, around 485,000. And in 2025, a total of 500,000. All these immigrants will help reduce labor shortage and bring growth to the Canadian economy.
Other than reducing labor shortages, the Immigration Levels Plan will also work towards bringing families together and offer asylum to refugees and asylum seekers.
