There are several options for getting Australia PR as a skilled foreign worker. In most cases, you will be required to submit an Expression of Interest. Moreover, you should also be invited to apply to be eligible to apply for Australian permanent residency as a skilled worker. There are six main options.

Skilled Nominated Visa – Subclass 190

You can apply for subclass 190 if you have a nomination from an Australian province or territory government agency. To get the nomination from an Australian province or territory, you will need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

If you get the nomination, the Australian Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) might invite you to apply for the Skilled Nominated Visa.

Who can Apply for the Australia PR- Subclass 190 visa

You must not be older than 45 years at the time you are invited to apply for the visa.
While creating the Expression of Interest, you must be able to score 65 out of 145 points in the Australia PR calculator
Be competent in English

Employer Nomination Scheme Visa – Subclass 186

The Subclass 186 visa has three streams

The Investor Stream: If you have a provincial or territorial nomination and aim to invest in Australia, you can apply for the Investor Stream. To be eligible, you must have a subclass 188 visa for at least three years. You must have been physically present in Australia for at least 2 years in the last 4 years.
Significant Investor Stream: You can apply for this stream if you are investing 5 million (AUD)
Premium Investor Stream: You can apply to this Australia PR stream if you are investing 15 million AUD.
Entrepreneur Stream: This stream is for eligible entrepreneurs who have held a relevant subclass 188 visa for at least 3 years. You must have lived in Australia for at least 2 years in the last 4 years.

Business Owner visa – Subclass 890

If you own or manage a business in Australia, you can apply for permanent residence through the subclass 890 visa. To be eligible for this visa, you must hold any one of the following visas:

Business Owner (Provisional) visa (subclass 160)
Senior Executive (Provisional) visa (subclass 161)
Investor (Provisional) visa (subclass 162)

State or Territory Sponsored Business Owner Visa – Subclass 892

This Australia PR visa is for you if:

You are in Australia and have held a valid visa for at least 1 year within 2 years. You must have held one of the following visas

You must be sponsored by a regional authority of an Australian state or territory.
Own and manage a business in Australia

State or Territory Sponsored Investor Visa – Subclass 893

The Aged Dependent Relative visa – The subclass 114 visa is for a single elderly person who is financially dependent on a relative living in Australia. They should be living outside Australia at the time of application.
