India resumes E-visa services for Canadians after 2 months of pause on Wednesday, 22 November, 2023, according to the Reports.

Hence, now all electronic visa services are resumed, including tourist visas. However, from October 26, four visa categories such as business and medical visas, conference visa, and the resumption of services already resumed last month
We know that electronic visa services have been suspended since September 21, 2023. Due to the ongoing row of India and Canada, India paused all visa and passport services, citizenship and PR services.

Previously Canada claimed that Indian government agents were involved in murder of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June in British Columbia, Canada.
Hence, In September, India suspended the issuing of visas to Canadian citizens till the further notice and strictly refused all the claims of Canada. On the other hand, India asked Ottawa officials to share the evidence of such claims.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “We are not ruling out an investigation… (but) if you (the Canadian government) have a reason to make such an allegation, please share the evidence with us. We will look at anything you have to offer.”
Hardeep Singh Nijjar was already nominated as a terrorist by India in 2020. He was shot outside a gurdwara in Canada at the age of 45 years.
