#251 Express Entry Draws

Date: 27 June, 2023

Day: Tuesday

Invitations to Apply: 4,300

CRS cut-off: 486

Draw Type: All Program

Time of Draw: 15:37:46 UTC

On 27 June, 2023, the 251st round of Express Entry draws conducted by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada called for 4,300 candidates.

The draws came out on Wednesday, as usually most of the Express Entry draws are. However, the previously held draws were an exception and came by on Thursday, 8th June, 2023, and this time came out on Tuesday.

In the previous round of draws, which was the 250th draws, a total of 4,800 invitations were sent to eligible candidates. The CRS cut-off stopped at 486, and it was not a program specific draw.

Now, this can also be called an All Program draw because it was not inviting candidates from any one specific program.

What does an Invitation from Express Entry mean?

All these candidates received a chance to apply for permanent residency in Canada. Moreover, since they received an invitation directly via Express Entry, the candidates are free to choose where they want to live, work, and settle down in Canada.

However, this would not have been the case if they were chosen by a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw.

Do you know why? Because PNP draws only invite those candidates that they need, in their own provinces and territories only.

Whereas, this is not the same with Express Entry. It does not restrict a candidate from making the important decision of where they want to spend their lives in Canada.
