Why did Canada PM Shuffled his Cabinet of Ministers?

A cabinet is actually a body of ministers that the Prime Minister of Canada appoints. These ministers are responsible for a number of tasks such as communicating the prioritized policies of the government.

It is usual for Canadian Prime Ministers to shuffle their ministers’ cabinet for a number of reasons. One of the reasons is to give opportunities to new faces and let them bring some necessary changes. Other reasons are to replace those who are not performing adequately, and give the government a chance to improve their policies. Another reason why the PMs shuffle their cabinets every two years or so to promote those ministers who are performing well.

Sean Fraser was appointed as the Immigration Minister during the last shuffle which happened in October of 2021. As the new Immigration Minister, Marc Miller will be responsible for varied services such as immigration services, passport services, temporary residents, etc.

Will There be Drastic Changes in the Immigration Policies?
