British Columbia Draw- Invitations to More Than 160 Candidates

The most recent British Columbia draw invited around 162 candidates to apply for permanent residency in the province. By applying in the draws would make it easier in finding jobs in abroad for Indians as the province is giving opportunities to individuals to work there. 

All the draws conducted were targeting specific occupations. Occupations targeted are- Tech, Childcare, Healthcare, and Other Priority Occupations.

The aim of these draws are to invite candidates who would help in the growth of the local economy. Hence, the provincial government carefully chooses candidates who would be best suitable for the same. 

In order to invite candidates who are better capable of enhancing the growth of British Columbia, the province selects them on the basis of their points. Higher scoring candidates always have a better chance at excelling.

Minimum Score Needed in These Draws 

In these recently conducted draws, more than 160 candidates received invitations. Candidates can use these invitations to apply for permanent residency in British Columbia and settle down there. 

However, this doesn’t mean that any candidate from any occupation was invited. As we came to know, this was a targeted draw, and hence naturally candidates from only particular occupations received invitations. 

The targeted occupations were- 

  • Tech
  • Early Childhood Educators and Assistants
  • Healthcare
  • Other Priority Occupations (31103, 32104)

Number of Invitations to each occupations’ stream:-

  • Tech- 112
  • Early Childhood Educators and Assistants- 24
  • Healthcare- 21
  • Other Priority Occupations- Less Than 5

Minimum score required for each stream:-

  • Tech- 90 points 
  • Early Childhood Educators and Assistants- 60 points
  • Healthcare- 60 points
  • Other Priority Occupations- 60 points

Both Skilled Workers as well as International Graduates received invitations under these draws.
