Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway

The Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway is a subset of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) known as the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), which is run by the government of Alberta.

The AAIP Accelerated Tech Pathway is a program that was started in 2022 to help Alberta’s workforce. It makes it easy for tech workers with high skills who want to live and work in Alberta to get permanent residency.

How does Accelerated Tech Pathway in Alberta work?

If you meet the requirements for the Alberta Express Entry Stream and the Alberta Accelerated Tech Program, you may be able to get your application processed faster.

Candidates who are nominated through the Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway will get a work permit support letter, which will let them apply for a temporary work permit. Those who are nominated will also be asked to submit an official application for Canadian permanent residence.

Are you eligible for the AAIP Accelerated Tech Pathway?

The AAIP Accelerated Tech Pathway doesn’t have any language or education requirements. All candidates must, however, have Alberta Express Entry profiles that list their language and education requirements.

For a fast-track immigration program for tech workers from all over Canada and other countries, candidates are being asked to submit applications. Candidates must have a job offer in a qualifying tech job with a tech industry employer in Alberta.

Candidates for Express Entry who want to be considered for the Accelerated Tech Pathway must:

  1. Have an active Express Entry profile and a Comprehensive Ranking System score of at least 300.
  2. Have a full-time job (at least 30 hours per week) or a job offer in an occupation in Alberta with an Alberta technology employer.
  3. Submit an online form with the AAIP, giving information about their Express Entry profile and their tech job in Alberta, if they think they meet these assessment criteria.
