What does CICC do?

All the RCICs or Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants along with the RISIAs or Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors gets approval to practice immigration consultancy in Canada. They also get their license regarding immigration consultancy.

Those individuals who are eligible to practice immigration consultancy will get their approval from CICC. These individuals can also provide citizenship consulting services.

Along with approving licenses, it has the power to take action against those who do not have authorization for immigration consultancy. It works only in the best interests of newcomers in Canada.

Did CICC Replace ICCRC?

Yes, CICC actually replaced ICCRC. ICCRC proved to be rather ineffective when it came to execution of supervisory steps. So, this immigration regulatory body got replaced. Thus, it  was the one that took ICCRC’s place.

Hence, this is the reason why the new immigration regulation body is so professionally strict with its conducts. It has some really effective measures to protect newcomers from fraud and unauthorized consultants.
