The latest Prince Edward Island draw, held on 19 July 2024, issued 86 invitations to apply to the Work Permit stream and PEI Express Entry stream. From these invitations, 2 invitations were for Work Permit stream, but the candidate must have scored at least 105 points to receive an invitation.
The other 84 invites were for the PEI Express Entry stream. Though there was no score requirement, the invites were sent to:
- candidates working in the Healthcare and Construction sectors,
- candidates working in the Manufacturing and professional services sectors (but their work permit must be expiring before 2024’s end), and
- to those applicants who are applicants in the International Graduate stream and their work permit expires at the end of this year
The invited candidates can apply to their respective streams and get a nomination so that they can, later on, apply for Canada PR. After becoming a permanent resident, the newcomer must come to live in Prince Edward Island.
