This time’s latest PNP draws news is about British Columbia and Alberta. They invited a total of 396 candidates. Alberta went ahead and called for candidates from the Family Connection and Primary Occupations in Demand stream, while British Columbia chose candidates from three different streams, General, Healthcare, and Childcare.
Since these are provincial nominations and not Express Entry draw, which IRCC conducts, candidates are not directly invited but only nominated. When candidates are only nominated, their CRS score boosts up to 600 points which further increases their chances of being invited to Express Entry draws. Express Entry draw invites highest scoring candidates for Canada PR, hence PNP draws are valuable.

Alberta has expressed an interest in inviting candidates from the specific occupations whose demand is high in Alberta as of now. Moreover, those profiles in the Express Entry pool of eligible candidates that stated they have a parent/sibling/child living in Canada, and that their occupation must be one of the in-demand occupations were invited.
Also, the family member of the candidate invited must be 18 or older, and needs to be either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
These candidates received an additional 600 points upon receiving an invitation. These additional points are going to help the candidate when the next Express Entry draws come out. If the CRS cut-off of the next draws are high, the candidate would have a chance to secure an invitation. Then they can easily apply for Canada PR and fly to Canada!
