The most recent British Columbia draw was conducted on 24th October, which sent out more than 158 invitations. The invitations are issued to workers in the essential industries of the province that are currently in need of growing the workforce. 

One of the occupations selected in this round of draw was Healthcare. The need for workers in the healthcare sector is a growing need across Canada. The latest Express Entry was also for the same sector. By issuing 3,600 invitations to apply for Canada PR , this draw became the largest one conducted in October. But it’s evident that the government of Canada is taking measures to invite more workers and reduce the workforce shortage.

BC PNP draw issued invitations to apply for Canada PR. Occupations invited are tech, healthcare, childcare, and other priority occupations. Moreover, it was the fourth draw of October, conducted by British Columbia.

British Columbia PNP Streams

There are 5 British Columbia streams under the BC Provincial Nominee Program. Candidates receive invitations via the below given streams:

  • Skills Immigration- International Graduate
  • Skills Immigration- Skilled Worker
  • Skills Immigration- Entry-level and Semi Skilled
  • Express Entry BC- Skilled Worker
  • Express Entry BC- International Graduate

The draw conducted most recently invited candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate (also including the Express Entry BC option). 

101 invitations were for the Tech occupations, and the lowest immigration score considered was 90. 

Next is childcare occupations: 34 invitations sent out to those scoring 60 or above. 

Only 22 invitations were issued to the healthcare occupations, and the minimum score remained at 60. 

As for the other priority occupations, the category received less than 5 invitations. Also, the minimum score was still 60.
