British Columbia releases first draw of May
The first round of draws of the month of May, 2023, came out on 2nd May, Tuesday. As we have seen in the history of British Columbia draws, they usually come out every Tuesday. Thus, if you are waiting for them, you should expect to look out for Tuesdays, because that’s when the draws, usually, come out!
The province issued around 176 invitations to apply for permanent residency. One of the rounds of draws, which were just the regular old general draws, invited 133 candidates. This general draw also included candidates from the tech occupations.
The other round of British Columbia PNP draws were targeted draws. In this round, they invited almost 43 candidates. The targeted draws were for the workers in healthcare occupations, childcare occupations, and some other priority occupations. The candidates who scored the minimum had a rank of 60.

Important Features of this draw
A number of candidates from different streams received invitations to apply for British Columbia PR.
For the general draws, a total of 133 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency of the Canadian province, British Columbia, were issued. The minimum score as per the streams are below:-
- Skilled Worker- 104 minimum score
- Skilled Worker (Express Entry British Columbia option)- 104 minimum score
- International Graduate- 107 minimum score
- International Graduate (Express Entry British Columbia option)- 107 minimum score
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled- 85 minimum score
Less than 43 invitations to apply for British Columbia PR were for the candidates. For the targeted draws, the minimum score as per the streams are given below:-
- Childcare Occupation:- Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes Express Entry British Columbia option)- 22 ITAs, and 60 is the minimum score
- Healthcare Occupation:- Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes Express Entry British Columbia option)- 16 ITAs, 60 minimum score
- Other Priority Occupations:- Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes Express Entry British Columbia option)- less than 5 ITAs, 60 minimum score
