In the latest draw held this week by British Columbia, 91 invitations have been issued to apply for a provincial nomination.
The 21 April draw was carried out under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)’s Tech Pilot. Immigration candidates with job offers in the technology sector in B.C were invited to apply through weekly draws for a provincial nomination.
In Tuesday’s draw candidates were selected from the sub-categories – Skilled Worker and International graduate through Skills Immigration and Express Entry B.C. streams. A minimum of 85 provincial score was required for the invited candidates.
The BCPNP uses the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) method based on a point system. These points decide whether a candidate is eligible to apply for a given invitation round. The final score is based on a variety of considerations, including education level, years of experience in operating directly and a B.C. job offer. You can find your score here.
Applicants who have obtained invitations to apply will have to submit a full application through BC PNP Online Registration System for up to 30 calendar days from the date of invitation. An invitation to apply does not guarantee the applicants are approved for a nomination.
Most applicants need an immediate, full-time work offer by an employer in this province in order to be eligible under the BC PNP.
