699 Express Entry candidates invited in the latest Ontario PNP draw

On June 3, Express Entry candidates with work experience in one of the nine occupations were invited by Ontario to apply for a provincial nomination.

Candidates who may be eligible for the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP) were invited in this Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) draw.

In the latest round of invites, candidates with work experience in the following nine occupations were issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs):

Financial managers (NOC 0111)

Other administrative services managers (0114)

Advertising, marketing and public relations managers (0124)

Financial auditors and accountants (NOC 1111)

Other financial officers (NOC 1114)

Professional occupations in business management consulting (NOC 1122)

Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 3012)

Other primary health practitioners (NOC 3124)

Dieticians and nutritionists (NOC 3132)

To obtain an invitation from Ontario, Express Entry candidates needed to have at least one year of work experience in Canada, and a Comprehensive Ranking System – CRS score of between 358 and 439. A total of 167 NOIs were granted to candidates with Canadian work experience.

Most of the invites were issued to candidates who had work experience abroad. A total of 532 of the invited candidates have had the required international work experience. These candidates needed CRS scores between 471 and 500.

Candidates needed to have profiles in the federal Express Entry program – in order to be invited. At present, the Express Entry oversees the applications for three primary federal immigration programs: Federal Skilled Workers Program(FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Candidates receive points based on their human capital factors, such as age, work experience, education, and language proficiency.

A nomination by a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) practically guarantees that a candidate will obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent Federal Express Entry draw for permanent residency in Canada.

This year Ontario will be allowed to nominate 7,600 primary candidates. Which comprises 250 temporary worker’s nominations in intermediate skilled occupations or skill level C in the National Occupation Classification (NOC).

In 2019 over half of the 7,391 provincial nominees in Ontario were Express Entry candidates.
