57 Invitations issued in the latest B.C Tech Pilot draw

In 2017, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot was introduced to support employers recruit prospective immigrants in the IT sector and promote the immigration process for foreign tech workers and international students.

The BC PNP offers weekly Tech Pilot invites to qualified applicants with a legitimate one-year job offer in one of the listed occupations of the program. The job offer must also include a total of 120 days remaining at the time of application.

The July 7 draw saw invitations given to applicants from the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skilled Immigration streams in the Skilled Worker and International graduate streams. In all subcategories, chosen candidates required a minimum provincial score of 80.

Express Entry applicants that obtain a British Columbia nomination will earn an extra 600 points towards their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System – CRS score and will be automatically guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) at a forthcoming federal draw.

To order to be eligible for immigration under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories into British Columbia, applicants must first generate a profile via the BC PNP web portal and apply through the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) of the province.
