“Since the beginning of the year, B.C. has given over 10,000 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination through weekly draws.”
Through two Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) drawings held on November 9, British Columbia invited 340 immigration hopefuls.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) selected candidates from the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams based on the results of these two draws.
The Skilled Worker, International Graduate, Entry Level, and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of the SI and EEBC streams all received invitations.
The 287 candidates who were not invited for their occupation received the majority of the invites. These candidates were invited provided they met the minimal CRS score requirements, which ranged from 69 to 94 depending on the programme.
Candidates who worked in NOC 0621 (retail and wholesale trade managers) or NOC 0631 (retail and wholesale trade managers) were targeted in the other draw (restaurant and food service managers). That draw yielded 53 invitations, all of which had minimum scores of 104.

As part of the PNP programme, British Columbia has been conducting a separate round of invites twice a month since February. Because of the large number of candidates from specific labour market sectors who registered with the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System, these drawings are being held (SIRS).
B.C. has given well over 10,000 invitations through several BC PNP streams so far this year.
