In the latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, 158 invitations were issued by B.C.
A new draw was held on 19 May by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). Candidates in the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC Immigration categories were invited to apply.
The requirements for provincial score varied from program to program. The score requirements for the two BC sub-categories for Express Entry were-
– Skilled Worker: 110
– International Graduate: 110
Candidates invited in these subcategories had to have their profiles in the federal Express entry system. Now that they’re invited to apply for provincial nominations from B.C., and if they receive the provincial nomination, they have the chance to gain another 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This boost in the CRS score effectively ensures that they are invited to apply an ITA in a subsequent federal Express draw.
The score requirements for the three Skills Immigration subcategories were:
– Skilled Worker: 100
– International Graduate: 103
– Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 81
The effect of coronavirus on B.C was influenced in this draw. The draw did not include a number of sales and service occupations.
People invited to the draw on May 19 now have to submit a complete application for provincial nomination to the BC PNP in up to 30 calendar days.
