Minimum Proof of funds | You must have at least $3588 (CAD) if any other family member does not accompany you. This amount increases with the number of members accompanying you. |
Aim to settle in Quebec | You should intend to settle and work in Quebec permanently |

Your work experience and ongoing job in Quebec must be in one of the seven NOC codes in the food processing industry.

- NOC 95106 – Laborers in Food and Beverage Processing

- NOC 85100 – Laborers in the care of livestock, but only the job title chicken gatherer
- NOC 94142 – Workers in fish and seafood processing plants

Mandatory funds vary with the family members accompanying you to Quebec. While applying, you will need to sign the Financial self-sufficiency contract that states that you can sustain yourself and your family in Quebec.

How to Apply?
To apply to the Quebec Food Processing Workers Pilot Program, you will need to follow the following steps.
- Register and create a profile on ARRIMA
- Initiate the permanent selection application for workers in food processing.
- The application has two parts – Part 1 & 2. The first part involves general information such as gender, place of birth, marital status, contact details, details about your spouse (if applicable), job offer, job description, and several others.
The second part will include a document checklist with all the mandatory documents you need to submit with your application.
- Fill in all the sections of the application and upload all the mandatory documents.
- Once you have provided all the information, pay the application fee of $895 (Canadian dollars)
- Submit the application for review.
- The MIFI (Minister of Immigration, Francization, and Integration) will request an attestation of learning about democratic values and the Quebec values. Obtain this attestation within 60 days.
- The MIFI will then review the application.
- If approved, you will get a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificate).
- Apply for a Canada PR through the Quebec Selected Skilled Workers pathway within two years of getting a CSQ.
- If approved, you will get a COPR and a PR visa. You can then immigrate to Canada and settle in Quebec as a permanent resident.
