  • Paramedical 
  • Pharmacy 
  • Nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates
  • Early childhood educators and assistants

Nova Scotia may be able to process your nomination application within 6 months and after that, you can apply for permanent residency to IRCC. The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) should be able to process your PR visa application within 12 months (as of current processing time).

Nova Scotia International Graduates in Demand: Eligibility Criteria

Nova Scotia International Graduates in Demand stream eligibility requirements are as follows:

  1. Applicant should be between the age of 19 to 55 years
  2. They must have at least a high school diploma or have an ECA
  3. They must score at least CLB level 5
  4. Applicant must meet financial requirements
  5. They must be certified to perform their job by Nova Scotia’s regulatory bodies 
  6. Within 3 years of applying, the applicant must have studied at an eligible DLI in NS; the study program should have lasted for 30 weeks or 7-8 months; the applicant must have completed at least half of the program in the province
    1. Those applying under NOC code 32102 and 32124, must have a diploma 
    2. Those applying under NOC code 33102, must have a certificate/diploma/degree
    3. Those applying under NOC code 42202, must have a diploma or degree
  7. Have a job offer in one of the following occupations; employment offer must be full time, and related to your field of study

Step by Step Application Process of NSNP International Graduates in Demand

Follow these steps to apply to the International Graduates in Demand stream of Nova Scotia Nominee Program

Step 1: Visit the official website of Nova Scotia to apply for a provincial nomination 

Step 2: In the application, you will need to provide the following details:

  • Where you are planning to live in Nova Scotia
  • How you will meet your financial needs
  • Where are you planning to send your kids to study, if you have them
  • Where will you be working, etc

Step 3: Submit the application form after filing it completely and uploading all the necessary documents

Step 4: If your application is approved, you will receive an email regarding the nomination approval

Step 5: You may request NSNP to issue you a letter of support for a work permit at the time of submitting the nomination application. This work permit will let you work in Canada while you have applied for your PR.

Step 6: Once you arrive in Canada as a PR, report to NSNP about your arrival within 30 days. Send the following documents to the provincial government to prove your arrival:
