What is Canada Express Entry?
Express Entry is the primary federal immigration pathway that selects skilled workers from all over the world to come and work in Canada. The skilled workers who would like to work in the country use Express Entry to immigrate to Canada. IRCC conducts these draws.

What’s the first thing to know?
You should first understand that the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will only invite you if your profile is in the Express Entry pool. Moreover, your profile should be one of the top ranking ones to be selected.
To be invited, you first need to create your profile online, only then will your profile be ranked and the process would move on.
How to Create a Profile Online?
Let’s take a look at the steps that would instruct you on how to create a profile for Canada PR.
1st Step:-
Search for “canada express entry profile login”. As you can see, the first article is by the official website of Canada. Click on it.
2nd Step:-
Now, you have to scroll down to get to the main part where you would be creating your profile.
3rd Step:-
Click on the Register button to create an account.
4th Step:-
Scroll down.

Click on the “ Register with GCKey” option.
6th Step:-
This is where you sign up for the following process.
7th Step:-
Accept the terms and conditions.
8th Step:-
Create your username. Take help from the instructions under the “Username Checklist” and create your username based on that.
9th Step:-
Now, it’s time to create a strong password. Again, you can use the “Password Checklist” to make sure your password is a strong one.
10th Step:-
After you are done creating your recovery questions and given their answers, you can click on continue.
11th Step:-
Since this is optional, you can either fill this information and click on continue, or you could skip too.
12th Step:-
Your GCKey sign up is complete!
13th Step:-
Again, accept the terms and conditions to move forward.

And now you can start creating your profile.

As the questions start popping up, give their answers and keep on pressing “Continue”.
Create the necessary security questions which will open your main Express Entry Profile. This is from where you manage your profile.

When you scroll down on your profile, you will see an “Express Entry (EE)” button, click on it. A new page will open up where you can fill in your necessary information.
All the information that you are putting in your profile is very important, do make sure to double check everything you have put in.
17th Step:-
The page of “Candidate Express Entry” will open up, and that’s where you will fill out the application forms and put in information about various aspects.
A candidate would need to put in information about their:-
- Age
- Identity
- Information on how to contact them
- Educational qualifications
- Language skills
- How much work experience do they have
- How they would be able to assimilate themselves into Canada
- About their family
- If they have a common-law partner or spouse, they would need to give information about them as well.
18th Step:-
You can then submit your profile! After submitting it, you would receive a job seeker validation code, and your Express Entry profile number.
Creating a profile online is not a tough task. Just be careful, and try not to put in any wrong information. Also, even if you don’t have to upload any documents a this point, you still need to put in necessary information from those documents. So, keep them with you when creating your profile.
You have a total of 60 days to complete your profile and submit it online. Between this time period, you can come back to your profile to enter information and leave again anytime, as all the information is saved online. However, you cannot take more than 60 days to submit this profile otherwise you would need to start again.
Once your profile is complete and submitted, IRCC will process it further to see which program you qualify for. Based on the information, you may be invited to apply for PR via that program. Do keep in mind that when creating a profile, the applicant cannot choose or prefer which immigration program they qualify for.
What’s Next?
After your profile has been put in the Express Entry pool, all you can do then is wait and prepare yourself to receive an invitation. Up until new draws don’t drop by, there’s nothing to do other than wait.
Though in the meantime, you can get the necessary documents ready. This will help you as after receiving an invitation to apply, you only get 60 days to submit a complete application.
Apart from that if there has been any changes in any of your documents, you must reflect it in your Express Entry profile. So, keep the information up-to-date.
Once you receive an invitation, you will get the Invitation To Apply (ITA). It will be reflected in your Express Entry account in under 24 hours. Along with the ITA you will also get instructions on what to do next.
What is the minimum score for Express Entry?
The minimum score for Express Entry is 67 points. If you score this much, you can apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
Can I apply for Express Entry with a low score?
Though you can apply for Express Entry with as low points, you still should aim for higher points as the top scoring candidates are selected first.
