Immigration fraud is not uncommon in India. But learning how to identify it can help protect you from falling victim yourself. Stories of immigration fraud are unfortunately not hard to find—from getting a false job offer all the way up to being paid for services that simply don’t exist.
Likewise, there are some individuals who impersonate Talent Connected Worldwide, and show as if they are licensed like us. Talent Connected Worldwide (TCWW) is a licensed and Canadian government approved immigration consultancy and other companies impersonating us are scammers.

How to Identify a Fraudster?
There are many forms of scams that one can fall in, from providing false information about an individual’s eligibility for a visa, to more complex schemes involving fraudulent identity documents. Individuals looking to immigrate to Canada can become targets of immigration scams. To identify such scams, you should make sure that the immigration consultant you choose is registered with the CICC.
Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) are licensed Canadian immigration consultants. Rachal Sidhu, co-founder of Talent Connected Worldwide, is an active member of the CAPIC and RCIC. Devdatt Dhariyal, the co-founder and managing director of TCWW is the agent to Rachal Sidhu. Both of them are listed on the CICC portal.
The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) is a Canadian regulatory body that oversees the work of immigration consultants and international student advisors. They protect clients from poor quality advice or possible fraud immigration cases.
According to Canadian immigration and citizenship laws, anyone who gives legal advice about immigration or becoming a Canadian citizen, must be licensed by the CICC.
How to identify a licensed immigration consultant?
To identify a licensed immigration consultant, take help from the following points.
- Visit your consultants website
Fraudulent immigration consultants would most likely have a fake website. The domain name of the site would not match that of the actual company, and it probably wouldn’t be secure—with no padlock icon in your browser’s address bar to indicate otherwise.
The website would have no contact information, it would not have any credentials or qualifications of the company members listed and there wouldn’t be a lot of updates.
- Email with no company name
If your immigration consultant uses a general email address like [email protected] or [email protected] and not one that includes the company’s name, you should be suspicious about their authenticity.
- Guaranteed and instant deals
You should be wary of consultants who offer you deals that sound too good to be true, such as guaranteed entry into Canada and a high-paying job. Immigration officials are responsible for the decisions that allow foreigners to enter Canada. No genuine immigration consultant can confirm 100% Canada PR or citizenship.
- CICC registration
A good way to check whether or not an immigration consultant is trustworthy is if they are registered with the CICC. You can check whether a person is an immigration consultant by entering their name, the registration number assigned to them or the company’s name into the CICC website.
How to report immigration consultant fraud?
If you get a suspicious call, hang up immediately and contact your local police. You should also report the scammer to the Canada Border Services Agency or to CICC.
