British Columbia (BC PNP) priority occupations are a list of job categories prioritized by the provincial program. The province of British Columbia requires international workers and students in five such categories.
If you have a job offer in one of the selected NOC codes, your chances of receiving an ITA in a BC PNP draw increase.

BC PNP Priority Occupation
The BC PNP priority occupations listed under are:
- Childcare
- Construction
- Healthcare
- Tech
- Veterinary Care
1. Childcare Occupations
Though only one NOC code is listed under the childcare occupations, this doesn’t mean that it is the only one eligible for an invitation. Other occupations can be eligible for BC PNP and may also receive an ITA in the draws.
The selected NOC code under the childcare category is-
- 42202 – Early childhood educators and assistants
2. Construction Occupations
Applicants need to meet certain criteria to benefit from targeted draws. These criteria include:
- They must have a non-seasonal job offer, for full-time work and it has to be in one of the priority occupations
- They must have a valid trade certificate, which is issued by the SkilledTradesBC or must be registered in an apprenticeship with the same. Their trade certificate has to correspond with their job offer

4. Tech Occupations
To qualify for and receive the benefits of targeted invitations, an applicant does not need to have a permanent job offer in a tech occupation. However, they have to meet the following criteria:
- The job offer has to be in one of the following priority occupations
- The job offered be for at least 1 year
- At the time of application, they must have 120 calendar days left on the job offer

Under the veterinary care occupations, an applicant must receive a job offer in one of the following categories to be eligible for targeted draws:
