How to Apply to the Saskatchewan Express Entry pathway?
To apply to the SINP International Skilled Worker Express Entry pathway, you will be required to go through six major steps:
- Register in SINP online portal or OASIS
- Create an Expression Of Interest or EOI and get a score by the SINP point assessment grid.
- Get an ITA in Saskatchewan PNP draws if your EOI score is equal to or higher than the cut-off.
- Upload all documents and send a complete application along with the non-refundable fee.
- Get provincial nomination through the Saskatchewan Express Entry pathway.
- Apply for Canada PR
Phase 1: Creating an EOI or Expression of Interest
The very first step while applying for Saskatchewan Express Entry is to register at OASIS and submit an Expression of Interest. SINP Expression of Interest is not the same as the SINP application. It is completely free. An EOI is valid for one year from the date of creation, and you can have one active EOI at a time. You will need to submit an EOI only if you are applying for Occupations in-demand or Express Entry streams of the SINP International Skilled Worker (ISW) program.
Submit a complete Expression of Interest by filling out information about your Express Entry profile, job seeker validation code, intended occupation, age, work experience, and other scoring criteria. You will be scored by the Saskatchewan PNP calculator according to the information you provide in your EOI.
Phase 2: Get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in Draws and Apply to SINP Express Entry
After submission, your EOI will be scored out of 110 by the SINP point assessment grid. The point distribution is tabulated below.
EOI Scoring factors | Points |
---|---|
Education and Training | 23 |
Skilled Work Experience | 15 |
Language Proficiency | 30 |
Age | 12 |

Higher your ITA, the better will be your chance to get an Invitation to Apply in the SINP draws that are held twice a month most of the time. Once you get an Invitation to apply, you will have 60 days to submit a completed SINP application with all the required documents. This is the step when you will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of $350 Canadian dollars.
Phase 3: Get a Provincial Nomination through the Saskatchewan Express Entry pathway and apply to Canada PR.
After you have submitted a complete SINP application, it will undergo a pre-screening and a critical assessment process. During the pre-screening, your application will be examined for completeness. Once it passes the pre-screening phase, it will then be critically assessed for information accuracy.
All your documents and the scored points will be assessed. In case SINP requires more information, you will be notified within email. You will get 10 days to provide all the additional information. After your application passes the assessment phase, you will get an approval for provincial nomination. A provincial nomination is valid for 6 months or 180 days.
After getting Provincial Nomination approval
- Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) will submit details of provincial nomination in the Express Entry system.
- You will be sent a notification about provincial nomination confirmation in your IRCC account. You will have 30 days to accept the SINP provincial nomination.
- Once you accept the nomination, you will get 600 additional points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) as a provincial nominee.
